No 3D printer? No worries

How Our Custom 3D Printing Works

1️⃣ Upload Your File:
- Upload your STL or 3D model file to a google drive, provide us with the google drive link and any job specifics in the form below.

2️⃣ We Review the Model:
- We check the file to make sure it will print correctly.

3️⃣ You Receive a Quote:
- We send pricing and print options.

- Our quotes are non-binding, meaning if you're not happy with the quote, there's no obligation to have it printed.

- If you accept your quote, once your order is paid for we move on to step 4.

4️⃣ We Print & Ship:
- Your model is printed and delivered to your door, or we have pick up options available.

What files can I upload?

We only handle ".STL" and ".LYS" files, most files you download will be STL's.

For example if you've downloaded something from MyMiniFactory/Cults/Patreon it will usually be an STL file.

.LYS files are preferred as they allow more flexibility in processing your files for you.

We accept both supported and unsupported mini's.

Note: For unsupported mini's there is a cost involved for the supporting process.

For pre-supported resin mini's please be aware that we are unable to control what and where layer lines may appear, orientation is one of the largest deciding factors on how prevalent layer lines are, and pre supported models cannot have their orientation changed.

For transparency, our routine resin settings are 0.03 layer height, with anti-aliasing enabled, if you have more specific needs, please advise us in your form submission.

Who is this service for?

This service is perfect for:

  • Tabletop gamers who want miniatures printed from downloaded STL files

  • Hobbyists who need high-detail models printed professionally

  • DIY makers printing replacement parts or custom designs

  • Board gamers upgrading their games with custom pieces

  • Designers wanting to bring their digital models into the real world

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing depends on:

  • Size of the model

  • Material used

  • Print time

  • Level of detail

  • Amount of time pre-processing the file, and post processing the print.

Typical small miniature prints start around:

$5 – $15 AUD

There are a few variables though, and the more you get of the same item, the cheaper we can make it.

If you request a quote and you don't like it, there is no commitment to purchase, so you can receive your quote worry free.

FAQ:

Do I need to prepare the file?
No — we check and prepare files for printing. We may ask you to provide alternative files though if for example your "pre-supported" mini's supports aren't sufficient, unsupported files may be required to complete the job.

What if my file won’t print?
We will contact you and suggest fixes. Simple file repair is a free service, more advanced file repair may incur additional charges, and this will be communicated during the quoting process.

Can you change the size of my model?
Yes — we can adjust size before printing, however sizing requests must be made by the customer and before printing begins and may incur an additional fee. We are not responsible for any mismatch in scale that is the result of asking us to change scale without providing specific dimensions. Scale/size will not be changed unless asked.

How long does printing take?
Most orders ship within 3 days, depending on the size of the job.

What will you do with my files when the job is done, do you resell them?
Each custom order is exactly that, a custom order. Files you provide us do not get provided to other customers or "sold-on" in any way. We store your files to keep track of what we've done for you, but they do not get used for other customers, if you would like us to delete your files after your job is completed, we absolutely can, we just need to know. If you've got something particularly sensitive that requires an NDA we can also facilitate this type of work.

Is the resin safe?

Yes! When we print models, they come off the machine, not safe for handling, but we then go through our post processing, which involves cleaning the model several times, and then a "post cure" which ensures it is safe to handle and is ready for primer/paint.

If we hollow your models for you, we also ensure the inside is clean and cured, and there are no random pockets of resin that may cause your model to crack or break in future.
