Hey everyone!
Welcome back to the Monster Menagerie, our weekly showcase where we introduce a powerful Dungeons & Dragons monster, a viewing of our Monster's available for purchase and a brief snapshot of their character sheets, so Dungeon Masters can drop terrifying new threats straight into their tabletop RPG campaigns.
This week’s creature is grotesque, immovable, and endlessly hungry…
Bodge the Ravenous – Gluttony Devil - D&D Monster

We once again sat down with Phil, our long-suffering Monster Menagerie handler, to learn more about this bloated fiend.
The Interview
JC: “Phil… that smell. Please tell me that’s not Bodge.”
Menagerie Handler - Phil: “It is. Bodge the Ravenous is a Huge Fiend (Devil), Challenge Rating 8, and one of the most disturbing battlefield controllers we’ve had in the Menagerie.”
JC: “Battlefield controller? He doesn’t look like he moves much.”
Phil: “That’s the terrifying part. Bodge’s Speed is 0. He doesn’t need to move. He drags enemies to him, but if he really does need to move, there's an ability where he drags his belly along the ground to move 15ft”
JC: “Ah. That’s worse.”
Phil: “Much worse. His Chain Hook has 15-foot reach and grapples targets. Once he has hold of you, he can Reel you in, knock you prone, and eventually consume you.”
JC: “Consume?”
Phil: “Yes. If you’re grappled, he can attempt to swallow you whole. Inside, creatures are blinded, restrained, and take acid damage every turn. If your party doesn’t act quickly, you’re effectively removed from the fight.”
JC: “That’s brutal. How does a party deal with him?”
Phil: “Positioning and control are key. Bodge also has Ravenous Inhale, which drags multiple creatures toward him. Combined with his Glutton’s Temptation Aura, players may even be forced to attack their allies if they fail their saving throws.”
JC: “So he turns the battlefield into chaos.”
Phil: “Exactly. He’s not a roaming threat — he’s a gravitational hazard. Once combat begins, the fight revolves around him.”
JC: “And what do Dungeon Masters receive if they adopt Bodge?”
Phil: “The full character sheet and a high-quality 3D printed miniature, including all abilities, resistances, reactions, and bonus actions. Everything needed to run a deadly boss encounter.”
JC: “Is he available now?”
Phil: “Yes. Though I recommend keeping him well-fed.”

How to Use Bodge the Ravenous in Your D&D Campaign
Bodge works exceptionally well as:
A dungeon boss guarding treasure
A fiendish enforcer in the Nine Hells
A demonic jailor holding prisoners
A warped cult summoning gone wrong
A grotesque arena encounter
Because he controls positioning and punishes melee-heavy parties, he creates a unique tactical challenge compared to typical bruiser monsters.
This makes him perfect for mid-level D&D campaigns where players are confident and need a reminder that positioning matters.
Bring Bodge to Your Table
