A logistics magnate who made his fortune specializing in slave transportation across Baldur, be it by convoys across land or boats sailing around the seas. Such a career does not come without making a long list of enemies, be they rebels wanting his head, abolitionists or his business rivals. It was these increasingly dire threats and close calls the left Victor to retire early, leaving Montgomery Transport in the hands of the board, and retiring to a quaint port town that was sometimes used to resupply ships travelling to and from Ukrondia: Westlook. It was far off the beaten track, and remote enough that it would take many years for word of his presence there to spread, and with the majority of ships coming to port being ones on his own company’s payroll, he felt safe there.

The townsfolk did not take kindly to him at first, and Victor thought to buy their praise instead. He brought wealth into the town: fixed their roads, revitalized their port, built a clinic. They did not want that. What did they want? Money: to their temples. So he made it so, though where his money went, he’ll never know. The Temple of the Tharameni in town is as dilapidated as it always had been since he arrived years past, but they seemed satisfied by his contribution, either way. Now they have left him relatively untouched, allowing him to occasionally invite old associates and friends to semi-regular soirees.

Unknown to Victor, not all of these invitees make it back to their homes, though he would never know, for all memory of them is expunged from his mind, as Seroca wipes their records clean and they become another sacrifice for the Cult of Quorenderi. It is for this reason, the locals have permitted, and encouraged Victor to remain in the town, for the fresh and consistent sacrifices he brings from his burgeoning social circle.
